Meet Our Experienced Legal Team
James Bebawy, JD, MBA
James Bebawy began his legal career in 2009 as a paralegal, bringing with him a strong academic and business foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2005 and later completed a Master of Business Administration in 2007. Prior to law school, James worked extensively in real estate development and property management, serving as both a project manager and property manager—experience that continues to inform his practical, business-minded approach to legal representation.
James entered law school in 2010. During his studies, he gained hands-on litigation experience working with a personal injury and civil rights firm in Chicago and later secured a highly competitive judicial internship with a federal judge at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Following graduation and successful completion of the bar examination, James joined Merit Advocates Law Group, PC as a full-time attorney.
In 2015, James founded Bebawy Law, PC, where he applies his combined legal, operational, and business experience to serve individuals, families, and businesses with practical, results-oriented counsel. He is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Illinois.
James is deeply committed to community service. He is a recipient of the Presidential Humanitarian Award for his service in Tahtah, Egypt, with Coptic Orphans, an international charitable organization. Locally, he serves as a board member and youth counselor/advocate at his church in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
